Day 2 - Gathering/Creating Assets

Games need art/models, sound effects, and music to feel complete. And most of those need to be planned ahead of time as you're working on your game. Today we are going to start planning our mini-platforming game and basically make a list of what we'll need for it. You'll be able to create from scratch or search websites and find what you need.

  • Designing a 2D Sprite
  • Using a tool to generate retro (NES, SNES, Sega Genesis) style sound effects
  • Utilizing online resources
  • Understanding online licenses that come with using content
